Always Look on the Bright Side of Life — LatinoFoodie Serves as Positivity Ambassadors

“Always look on the bright side of life…” LOVE that song from Monty Python’s award-winning musical Spamalot. But it’s true. We always have a choice on how we view things and respond to what life hands us. For example, so your tortillas break when trying to make enchiladas. Don’t sweat it. Turn the dish into an enchilada casserole and no one will ever know the difference.

Whether in the kitchen or at work, this summer let’s all plan to remain positive. Life is too short to live it otherwise. You see, Latinofoodie was recently selected to serve as Positivity Ambassadors for the California Milk Processor Board. We were honored, but also a little taken back. What did that mean exactly? Were we to be cheerleaders for this game called life? People are going through rough times right now. Friends are out of jobs still and families are finding increasingly harder to make ends meet. But that’s when it hit us. This is exactly when we need to send out positive energy to our readers — during the rough patches of life.

There were about 20 other Latino/a bloggers included as ambassadors. Our mission will be to spread the message about the positive benefits of drinking milk by sharing personal experiences via posts, photos and videos with our readers.  As you know, “El Maestro del Vaso Medio Lleno” (The Master of the Glass Half-Full) – a milk enthusiast is the Positivity Guru who invites us to create a more positive lifestyle and see the positive side of things. Check out the site and learn what other messages El Maestro del Vaso Medio Lleno shares with you.  Naturally, as food bloggers, we’ll also try to incorporate some recipes during this campaign using dairy products.

El Maestro teaches that the benefits of milk include healthy teeth, a beautiful smile, and it helps our body recover after exercise, helps us sleep better, and helps us have healthier and smoother skin. That sounds good to us!

Here’s a video the campaign shared with us to get us moving into a healthier and positive way of life.  What better way to get active than to dance? Don’t forget to pour yourself an ice-cold glass of milk  after you dance to refuel yourself.

Did you have a chance to check out the website? Okay, okay, we know El Maestro del Vaso Lleno is a fictional character, but you can still follow his message of  Positivismo on Facebook.
